Review:

As you might know the Submissive series and the Partners in play trilogy/series have been merged together which means that some of the books will be about the characters from the PIP series. I would have preferred to see Cole's story and something about Abby and Nathaniel which I found a little unnecessary.

I was almost ready to safeword while reading the second half of the book. After years of being together I was expecting better communication skills between Abby and Nathaniel. Nathaniel as a dam was trying to satisfy Abby's growing desire fir exhibitionism, but he ended up pushing his own limits in a way that brought a huge mess into his relationship with Abby. I still don't like the idea of adding a third person to their scenes and it was hard for me to read Nathaniels thoughts about it, I would like to see the Luke situation hitting Abby like a boomerang in an upcoming book. She never talked to Megan about him and I believe they will end up with a book.

I realized that we haven't seen Nathaniel spending time with his kids. The book is mostly about sex, the teasing of Cole's story and Abby's jealousy and that leaves no place for the reader to see what a normal day in the couple's life means. Even Nathaniel mentions that he doesn't spend a lot of time with his kids and yet he is still managing to find time to have sex with his wife.

Another thing that bothered me was Abby's jealousy. With everything that happened during the course of the book, I find it a little selfish to think that she is the only one who has the right to make mistakes while jealous and gets mad. In the big mess in the end, I don't believe that Nathaniel is the only one who picked things up. Abby was at fault too. I felt like she took everything Nathaniel gave her as granted. I feel like Abby is becoming more selfish as more books are released.

The thing with a series where the main couple is always the same is that after a point it becomes boring and tiring. I don't want to see Nathaniel and Abby go through anything else simply because I know it will be all about sex and over the top drama. Sasha and Cole need their book. I wonder what happened with Sam. The secondary characters need an actual story and not just problems to fill the pages of a book. I hope that Abby and Nathaniel won't have any parts from their point of view in the next book.
