Blurb:

LOVE MAY BE THEIR GREATEST GAMBLE…

Tony Matthews spends his time in London’s most notorious gambling dens, frittering away his fortune. But when his latest victory leaves a man ruined, Tony knows he’s reached his lowest point. Determined to make amends, he returns home to his family’s country estate with plans to settle down and marry at last. And he hopes the lovely Juliet Townsend will help him—if only he can keep his disgrace a secret.

Juliet’s secret wish has always been for Tony to love her. The only bright spot in her dreadful London season was dancing with him—before he disappeared to the card rooms. Now, he’s returned, but has he truly changed? Or will gambling always be his mistress, even if she becomes his wife? And does Juliet dare risk her heart by finding out?...

Review:

I am starting to like Eileen Richards writing style. This book felt more like a traditional historical romance book and I enjoyed it more than I did with An Unexpected Wish. Sophia is still annoying and maybe even more than she was in AUW. I don't know how I will manage to read her book. I hope Ian will manage to make her more torelable. Juliet was nice for most of the book, especially considering that she is a bookworm who likes to read steamy books. In the late book she became a little irritating, but she was right for some of the things she felt. Tony isn't the man we knew from the UAW and I loved that. He has taken the right way and tries to fix the mistakes he made. You don't have to have read the first book in order to enjoy An Honorable wish. I, as someone who had read the first book, wanted to see Juliet or even Tony making a wish like Anne did in An unexpected Wish.
