Damien Stark is my greatest Christmas wish come true. Immensely powerful and devastatingly sexy, he can undo me with the slightest touch, and with just one glance, he can see straight into my soul.

We both have dark secrets, twisted pieces of our pasts that only the other one understands. Though our fierce love and passion keeps me alive, sometimes I wonder what would’ve happened if Damien and I hadn’t met in exactly the way we did.

How would my life have been different? Would another man have laid claim to my body and my heart? Or were Damien and I destined to be together no matter the cost?

Review:

Unwrap me is a Christmas themed novella in the Stark International series. I LOVE these short stories about Damien and Nikki after they got their happily ever after. I am still waiting for baby news though. I believe it would be perfect if they became parents and I am already overloaded with how sweet it will be to see Damien as a father. But this novella isn't about that so I am going back to the point. Here is something from the blurb that sums up the story and gives the reader a little insight about what is going to read next;

Sometimes I wonder what would've happened if Damien and I hadn't met in exactly the way we did. How would my life have been different? Would another man have laid claim to my body and my heart? Or were Damien and I destined to be together no matter the cost?

I hadn't read the blurb and I didn't knew what was coming because I was pretty sure I was going to love or at least like the book, so I was very surprised when I realized what was going on. In unwrap me, Nikki stats feels uncomfortable and a little suffocated by being Damien Stark's wife. She feels like she got things because she is his wife and she falls asleep wondering how her life would be if she hadn't met Damien. Later we actually see how things would have happened if Nikki's life was a little different than the one we know.

I stop the book after a chapter in this parallel word because I was too sleepy to read something like this, I was on my way to the university when I realized something important. If you are meant to meet someone, then no matter the obstacles you will face you will meet him. That made me want to dive straight into the book again because I knew that Nikki and Damien would meet and fall in love again.

I am not saying they met. Maybe they didn't and Nikki married someone else like Ollie for example and saw Damien's marriage announcement on TV or read about it.. Read the book to find out because I am not going to say more. I liked this alternative universe scenario, but the real thing was the best. The end might seem a little weird to others, but for me it was magic that did everything. I am looking forward to more novella's about Nikki and Damien.
