Review:
I had a hard time getting into the story. The first part of the book is mostly focused on sword fights and stuff that don't help the plot move forward much. It tired me quite a lot and I found that part difficult to read. I found silly excuses to put off reading the book, but in the end, I managed to finish it so it wasn't that awful.
When I went to GoodReads to rate the book I saw that it had a 4.02 rating and I decided to see what it was that the other readers liked so much. Many people stated that this book might as well be a part of the Falcon series because it's very connected to it. Suddenly many little things that I found confusing while reading the book started to make sense. Constance mentioned something about being a spy and that seemed so out of place when I read it. Some chapters were letters between two people whose names were unknown to me. You see, my copy started from the prologue and I missed the part where the Falcon club is mentioned which was a couple of pages before that. That's the only warning that this book is a part of the same universe as the Falcon series and that made it a little angry.
People mentioned that a real-read of the previous books is needed before someone starts reading this book and poor me hasn't read even one book in it. It's no wonder I wasn't able to enjoy it. A little warning would have been nice. I enjoyed some parts of the book like the mystery behind the disappearances of some women and whatever was going on with the symbol. These are the only reasons I will read the next book if I ever get the chance (and after I read the Falcon series of course). I am going to recommend the book only to the people who have read the Falcon series.
