The universe works in mysterious ways.

Well, it did for me, anyway.

It was like it knew that I needed him.

It put him in my life during a time I honestly thought I couldn’t go on.

He was broken. I was broken.

We only had one thing to offer each other – friendship.

A true, deep, incredible friendship.

Laughter fixed us.

Talking bonded us.

He quickly became my everything.

This is our story.

I can’t promise it’s always perfect.

It might make you laugh.

It might make you cry.

It might even make you love.

It's real.

It’s us. Besties.

Review:

estie is the fifth book in the series and the first one I read. This is not a problem since the book is a stand alone. I didn't feel as if I was missing something. My biggest problem with the book was Roman. This is the first time I see a hero being so hung up on his ex. To be honest I thought in the begging that he was lying to Molly about her because he was trying to find a way to get close to her. Turns out he wasn't lying and even though we don't see his ex she causes more trouble than Michael. I didn't like that. I also didn't like that Roman couldn't decide if he still had feelings for his ex or if he was over her. In the end it just caused unnecessary drama. I didn't get impression that he was truly over her. The one person point of view didn't help in this case because I had no idea what was going on in Roman's mind. I expected more. I loved the banter between Roman and Molly and I liked their relationship and how it started evolving. That part of the book made sense to me. It had a good pace and it help my interest. Things were moving on smoothly and I could see how they would become friends and later fall in love with each other. I loved that part of the book. Then the "I am still hang up on my ex" part came in and ruined the book. Also Molly gave a little hand in the destruction of the good plot. She knew from the beginning that Roman wanted to get physical, but in a friends with benefits way and not in a romantic and yet she accused him of misleading her. I didn't like that part. Molly lost some points there and it was a shame because I really liked her. Honestly after a point a part of the story was ruined and the book was saved but Molly's family and Jack whose story was teased since the next book is about him. I was not very pleased with this book, but it wasn't a disaster so I will give it a reluctant recommendation.
