Review: Hope restored (Gallagher brothers, #3) by Carrie Ann Ryan

About HOPE RESTORED

The Gallagher Brothers series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes with the final brother who thought he had everything to look forward to, and the one woman who can handle him.
Life isn’t worth living if you don’t fight to live. That’s what Murphy Gallagher learned at a young age when cancer ravaged his body not once, but twice. Over the course of his survival, he lost his parents and his childhood, but he’s been healthy for years and has become a man he hopes his family is proud of. But when his world tilts on its axis yet again, he’ll have to learn what it means to fight not only the unknown but also his attraction to his best friend.
Tessa Stone works hard and plays harder. She’s spent her life trying to figure out who she is in the present rather than looking back. Yet when she’s forced into close proximity with Murphy, she’ll have to not only be his rock but learn how to relax enough to maybe let him be hers, as well. But seduction doesn’t stop when the world seems to, and close encounters of the naked kind might just be the first step in something much more complicated than either of them bargained for. Life, though, is for living, after all.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

Reading Hope restored actually made me cry. It wasn't just Tessa and Murhy I fell in love with in this book. It was also the secondary characters which have a unique essence and make the books even better than they were and more complete. The conclusion to the stories of the Gallagher Brothers was one of the best ways to end a chapter in my life. I cried a little bit and I fell in love with the family once again. We get to see all the other couples a lot in this book, but not in a way that would steal the thunder from the main couple.

Tessa and Murphy have a loving non-complicated relationship in this book. Once they decided to be together that was it. They had some sexy and some sweet moments and they became my favorite couple out of the three. At first, I was worried their relationship wouldn't end well and Carrie Ann Ryan would pull a Rachel Van Dyken on us which would have ruined the book, then I realized that we would have another victim and I was really hoping that wouldn't be the case.

I don't want to say anything else because the book was perfect. I got to read about the great relationship Tessa and Murphy had despite their baggage. I got to read a story that was half about romance and half about family. From the scene in the beginning where Murphy is playing with his favorite (and only so far niece) to the end where all the Gallaghers are together and happy I got to read a book that's filled with love. Hope restored is an amazing book, you don't want to miss.

P.S. After a long time, I am happy to give to a book a nomination for my top ten books of 2017.
