Review:

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

I'll make you mine is the stand alone novel by Gia Riley. It's the story of Zoe and Dylan two people who have been friends for a long time and now their feelings for each other start to change. Dylan decides to make Zoe jealous, by having a relationship with her twin sister (insert dafuq here, because the earth has about 4 billion other women Dylan could have used), but nothing happens between them so I had one less thing to worry about.

I am going to go a little spoilery here because there is something that bothers me and I have to say it. Zoe's twin ends up with a man who wants Zoe the whole time we spend in this book. He had sex with Keely and he said Zoe's name when he came. After that, he was saying inappropriate things to her and wasn't acting like someone who was dating her sister. How could Keely stand this kind of behavior? They might have been less than a secondary plot, but I was bothered. And they ended up married. Why? Honestly, I would have spent the rest of my life wondering if my husband wanted me for myself or because he would be close to my sister.

Problem number two. Letty. Dylan spend so much time and energy trying to make Zoe his and once Letty showed up he seemed to have forgotten about everything else and he was focused a lot on her. I lost a lot of my liking for him after that. The book became more about Zoe trying to figure out what was happening with him and Letty than Zoe and Dylan living their romance and all that.

I would not recommend the book, to be honest. I don't feel satisfied after reading it and my brain kinda tried to forget about it. That is not nice to say about a book, but it's the truth.
