Review:

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars

When I said "I want to read this book" I expected to get a light-hearted and funny book. Well, there is nothing light-hearted or funny about it. Cash and Jade have their problems and they are not the easiest to handle. We find out slowly about them and they are both ugly. Also, I had a problem with Cash and Aria (Jade's daughter). I know he meant well, but when Jade mentioned she might move out he just thought that he didn't want Aria to go away. What about her mom dude? Aren't you supposed to want both of them in your life? What is going on? That remark and a couple others made the creepy factor rise a lot. The characters were not very well developed and I am not going to talk about Stevie because I never liked her. To be honest I don't think there was a thing I liked about this book. In the beginning, everything seemed good, but as the story, as processing, everything seemed to change and I wasn't on board with that. I feel like the blurb makes the situations in this book seem lighter than they are. Cash and Jade had good intentions, but too many secrets for me.

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.

She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
